Thank you so much for the song and video. Am going through an addiction withdrawal, and when ever the devil creeps I play this specific video to help me get through the tough times. It brings me to a place of calmness, in the presence of God - the pinnacle of his throne of Grace. It humbles my heart and overrides my carnal urges. All I want to say is thank you, one day I will share my testimony. Praise God - Lets Take Time To Be Holy.

Thank you! I, too, love this hymn. I sang it in a choir about 6 years ago. It still plays in my mind and in my heart.

Compare it to a mortal wound. Would you choose not to go to the Doctor when your arm is broken or have had a major accident? A bishop is Heavenly Fathers servant whom he has authorized (not through education, but through the priesthood) to help cleanse and help perform the necessary steps to allow proper spiritual healing. Many physical things will heal w/ no extra help, but many will not. Why should the spiritual side of things be any different? How grateful I am that He provided for such.

@mormongal88 The mormon church is modeled after the wicked roman catholic church and all her babylonian practices...The Lord hates the deeds of the Nicolaitians.

I lol'd at the pictures of European Jesus, surrounded with blonde people...
To jiraxys09, I am not LSD so I don't believe that confessing your sin to a bishop or a priest or ANY mortal being is necessary. Ask Christ for forgiveness from your heart and you will be forgiven. That's what I dislike most about some religions. There is a LOT of guilt and not enough love and forgiveness, which IS what Christ was about.

@kimmer61 In the LDS religion, we very much believe in forgiveness from Christ and lots of love. When we have committed a bigger sin, however, such as a sexual sin, we are asked to tell our bishop. This is for our benefit, more than any other. The bishop will help us see where we stand and what path we need to take. He will help us to come back to Christ and truly repent. It is NOT about making us feel guilty. We've already felt that. He just helps us feel Christ's love and change.

What do you do if you have commited a sexual sin and youre too scared to tell the bishop/leader?

@jiraxys09 It will be very hard, I'm sure, to tell someone, but it is what will help you the most! The bishop is not allowed to talk to ANYONE else about what you tell him. He will not laugh at you or be mean. He will listen to you and talk with you. He will make sure you understand Christ's love for you and how much Christ and Heavenly Father want you to return to them. He will lay out the steps necessary to ensure you've changed. He is the Lord's representative in your ward. Good luck!

I can never be holy a poor sinner I am even with faith in Christ too weak in heart and flawed. At the mercy of Christ only...

@MichaelWithstand You are right in the fact that you need to rely on Christ's mercy, but it is because of that that you may rejoice! Christ is our older brother and will do and has done all that He can to ensure that we might become holy. None of us are perfect, but we can all continue to be our best selves. When you make a mistake, just repent of it, learn of it, and move on. Christ will be your support in all that you do.
