In 9 (maybe 10) seasons in the NPB he never walked more than 30 batters in any of those seasons... so I think he'll do ok in the majors

Uehara actually said he likes the firmness of the dirt on the MLB mound, which he said helped him in the '06 WBC. The Japanese mound is made of softer dirt than here in the USA.

this guy SICK control...i think he'll be pretty decent with baltimore...injuries have jus hurt him
