I only met you once, just before your cycle journey from Norwich to Istanbul...at that time you & your future wife made a big & lasting impression on me with your positivity, great energy & outlook on life...i felt & feel great respect & admiration for you - you are clearly someone who touched all that met you in a deep & lasting way...this is a tragic loss & my thoughts are with your wife, family, friends & students. R.I.P. Our friendship was all too brief but I am richer for having known you.
I just read about Mr Day on the EDP's website. An utterly tragic and untimely death. I didn't know him but reading the comments and tributes to him it rings true when they say 'why do the good die young?' Makes you evaluate your own life and puts into perspective that even when life is getting you down we should appreciate and make the most of every day. My heart felt condolencies to his wife, family and everyone that knew this guy.
