Video remix producers/DJs Eclectic Method are the creators of the
secret intro video to the musical costume second set of Phishs 2009 Halloween performance
in Indio, CA. Taking Phishs brilliant viral 99 Albums online promotion to the next level, the
London born/Brooklyn-based trio sourced and remixed content from all 99 albums, and remixed
them into a single, profound, beat-driven AV collage, screened just before the band took the
stage to perform the coveted last record left alive.

To promote Festival 8, Phish created an online viral campaign to drive buzz and speculation as to
what record the band will play as a musical costume on Halloween, a Phish tradition dating
back 15 years. The campaign consisted of 99 of the most reputed and buzz-worthy potential
costumes, hosted online in an interactive, scrolling landscape of ornately-framed records. From
Zeppelin to Zappa, Hendrix to Bowie, one by one, each album gets axed--literally--until one
final record is left standing. It was known to the fans that THIS is the album that Phish will
recreate live on stage Halloween night.

  • That package blew me away that night. It just lit the fuse on an electric night. It was really freaking me out and I was loving it.

There's another video of this taken at the show, and although they take the camera off a couple of times, and the sound/picture isn't as good, it really brough me back. I just remember that sound and the crowd reactions. I want to go back to that night so bad, it was just magic.

  • Totally blown away by this. In the desert, surrounded by palm trees - perfection. Excellent work.

  • this was dope and got me pumpd for the exile on phish st

  • oh my god 50 seconds is fucking awesome

  • Actually good, and I usually HATE things like mash-ups, but this was very artistic and fun to watch.

Marc dancing around, The Ramones, and I vaguely think I saw Brian May's Red Special in one of the transitions. It was brilliant.

  • This is great! Love it!

Does anyone know where The Who concert footage is from? It starts 2:17 and ends at 2:33

I know that the last frame at 2:33 is from The 2nd Set of The Tommy concert in LA in 1989. I think that the crowd shots are from the same concert.
