I commend you on doing such an honest and real video. I'm in a similiar situation and made a similiar choice. I am older (and should have been wiser!) and about to be a single mother living and working overseas. I'm scared as heck having a baby in a foreign country but, like all single mothers who make the decision to have our little ones, I will get through. It only takes one time though...fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me, lol. No more babies out of wedlock!

This is one of my favorite YouTube videos of all time. I don't think I've ever seen anyone this real, this genuine and his honest. You just looked in the camera and told "us" what you were truly feeling and thinking - I have to tip my cap to you for that. You are right about so many things - but what really made sense was when you asked, "when are the men going to be held accountable"? Definitely seems to be a double standard in that regard. I'm a 14 year old african american and my mom is a single mom,and i know how hard it is for her and that just makes me want to do the best i can so when i'm able i can support her and all that because my father is never there,i might have seen him 5 or 6 times in my life which to me is sad.Another thing is when people say that the kids of single mom parent will get all bad or w/e which isnt true at all,I'm doing just fine so don't listen to those types of comments and keep on doing your job =)

The sooner the guys realize that by not stepping up the plate, they are not punishing the mother, that they are in fact punishing the child, who is innocent and placing a wedge between them, the better off they will be. Maybe then, they will get it.

I am a single mother as well I had my baby unmarried but Im with You I dont want to have any more kids out of wedlock. I got the memo as well. Amen to that!!

My question to is, how did you not see the incredible hardship that comes with being a balck single mother? You said the father wanted an abortion so you couldn't possibly expect that he would be there for you or the child right? So all of the "tough because you have to be" is really a choice is it not? I mean, how many struggling single mothers do women have to see before they make a choice not to be that? I don't understand it. Good luck to you!
