@KreigjohnsonA7X I think you missed the point of the video. It's to show the tonal range you can achieve with these two pick ups while coil splitting them. If you're looking for high quality audio samples of screaming guitar solos on a JB...you really shouldn't be looking at youtube.

@TADahar I don't really know. I can only imagine that some extra metal in between the string and the poles would do something, but I doubt that it would be significant. After all, then they wouldn't be exactly JB's, right? Best bet is to join the forum at SD and ask away. Lots of great people there.

The bamboo thing is an African version of a rainstick a friend brought back from the continent. It's made with some kind of twigs, wrapped with braided nylon rope, and has pebbles inside. Authentic :)
