Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Elephants Playing in the Pool

Our 3 elephants, Kimba, Lucky and Maliaka love playing in the rain and in their pool! In Colorado Springs, we often have late afternoon showers during the summer. The other day, as we were leaving work, it started pouring outside. We heard the elephants trumpeting and ran over to the exhibit to see what the girls were up to. They were having a blast, playing in their pool, splashing, wrestling, and making mud puddles. It was an amazing thing to watch! Here is some video of it! This video showing your elephants having so much fun is wonderful. And it is the best kind of evidence to show that what the anti-elephants-in-zoos people say is wrong.

The truth is that zoo elephants have good lives!

(Also, I love hearing the natural sounds of the water splashing, the wind blowing, and even the elephants' breathing! Thank you for not adding a music track!)
