  • Brass wool is conductive. It's going to create a short circuit. Use plastic or rubber pads in between the tubes.

  • If you check my other vids especially the one on shim material you will see I have used folded plastic cut from a milk bottle but thanks anyway for the advice.

    I had a bubbler explode when using an oxy welding tip on the end of my hose. When I turned the power off, the flame must have built up in the tip and line and flashed through the stainless steel wool back to the bubbler and blew out the bottom.

    My bubbler gave up its life to possibly save mine.

  • Caustic soda aint the best of ideas made, i'd watch the fumes in future. nasty stuff.

  • Yea, so I've heard from a few others too. I am still trying to source some locally, but no good so far....
