I have loved this movie for many years. This is a wonderful song from a wonderful composer. Love Randy Newman ! Is it me, or does this song have a gospel flavor? :)

This tune IS gospel. Down to the Hammond organ and backup singers.
Trust me, it's the genuine article.
The only confusion you feel is that you're not sure a Jewish boy from Hollywood and N.O. should be doing this style. I guess Randy doesn't care. I guess the awesomeness of this track answers the question too.
