@Lolracok2 she actually had an unfortunate accident just two weeks before the Olympic games.its really sad...and I know ...she should have definitely been something to watch at those games ...
The Moscow games were chocked full of the best female gymnasts ever! Yelena Davydova really 'brought it" to the Olmpics. Her floor routine's difficulty and charm make me smile. Nadia has to be given credit...she came into these games without alot of advance preparation and did a great job! A less talented gymnast could not have done that. Regrettably Natalia Shaposhnikova was robbed of beam gold and a higher placing in the all around. Silver would have been appropriate.

The unlucky fall by Nadia from the UB, and Davydova took the gold in the AA.
With 2 golds and 2 silvers, Nadia was the most successful woman gymnast at these Games.

@PhillyGal4Ever how can that be when they performed with live piano music back then, only in 1980 did the girls start using tracks!

No-Teodora Ungureanu performed to that music FIRST-at the 1976 Olympics. Emilia Eberle was not on the Romanian team until 1977.
