Burns Theremins has released their latest version of the B3 Pro theremin. In this video, thereminist Thomas Grillo demonstrates this instrument's latest new features, and provides a rendition Faure's Apres Un Reve (After A Dream).

The theremin shown here is the prototype for the redesigned B3 Pro theremin, and it made it's first public appearance at Hands Off 2011 in Scarborough, United kingdom where it was demonstrated by Dan Burns, and performed for the first time in public by Thomas Grillo. Those lucky enough to attend HO2011 actually got to try this very theremin. :)

Not mentioned in the video, is the fact that you can flip the volume loop over, and turn the thermin round to play it left handed.

Check out closer views of this wonderfully redesigned theremin at:

Please visit Burns Theremins at:

  • This is the first time I've ever seen this instrument. It sounds so beautiful. Thank you for introducing me to such an awesome thing. Keep on playing :)

  • @nyx0806 You're welcome. I'll certainly keep on playing. :)

  • Nice. Are you running the theremin through a slight reverb or chorus effect?

  • @macsnafu Thank you. Yes, I'm using a very small amount of reverb through a Digitek Digiverb pedal, but no other effects were used.

  • Fantastic!! Excellent playing!

  • @20yearoldscotch Thanks. :) You have a cool channel name too, by the way. :)
