This a Dixieland tune that works well fingerstyle. This is mostly a Chet arrangement with a few personal licks thrown in. Hope you enjoy.

  • Fine musicians can be found anywhere - classical, jazz, folk. You, sir, are a fine musician.

  • @vibraharp226 I agree with you. I am honored to be called a "fine musician". I've been called a lot worse. LOL

  • Bill, where is "Mr. Sandman?" I already know you have this one aced. I would just like to "see" how Chet would have "really" played it.

  • I do play it, but as for playing it like "Chet would have really played it", I can't be for sure about that. I'll try to get that one on before Christmas. Thanks

  • Thank you, and yes, He already has. The crowning blessing was winning the National Thumbpicking Championship last month in Kentucky. Indeed, I am blessed.

  • can you do ...Yanky Doodle Dixie???

  • Yes I do. I learned it when I was 16 years old on a dare from my brother. He said it couldn't be done and that Chet was overdubbing. It took me about a month to get it down and I still play it to this day. Thanks, Billy
