  • ok so what do you do when your husband is not comfortable with the wearing of the head covering. I have been trying for almost 3 months and every time he sees me wearing it he tells me to take it off. I do not know what to do.

  • @sunshinerinker You pray and obey your husband. I do not advocate covering against your husband's wishes. A wife should pray and humbly seek his permission as sincerely as possible. If he allows it, awesome. If not, accpet his answer with grace and obey him, always being in prayer about the situation. To wear a covering that symbolized obedience to the headship order, when you are disobeying is counter intuitive.

  • I also want to comment that my veiling led me to a group of Christians who were very harsh, and at one point, had me convinced that I was hell-bound if I stopped veiling. I don't believe that a bareheaded wife is dishonoring her husband if she does not veil. Submission is a matter of the heart, like all biblical principles. Our hearts are tested, and our outward appearance should reflect the heart of God, but not in ways that put us in bondage. God bless you and thank you for your videos! :)

  • @SarahsDaughter1 ((Hugs))You are NOT hell bound if you stop veiling. That is so wrong of them. I do believe it to be a honor/dishonor issue. Ultimately the important thing is that you have your heart in line with God's. I do not advocate any sister cover unless she is convinced it is good. More importantly, that her husband allows it. I do not agree that the covering puts us in bondage. It can be made into that, but that doesn't mean it has to be when worn in the right spirit. Blessings

  • I may be wrong, sister, but this video seems to be directed very much toward me and the video I have made regarding why I do not cover anymore. You are right in saying that veiling is not a matter of sinning or obeying, but about honoring/dishonoring one's husband (or in the case of daughters, their earthly father). I want to say that for me, the path of veiling TURNED INTO a path of legalism, for me, personally. It was a gateway to an entire list of dos and donts that I had believed.

  • @SarahsDaughter1 This video series isn't directed at any one sister. But many were indeed on my mind. Yes, you were one of them. But I truly don't think of you in a poor or negative way. You remind me of me when I first began covering, and then had my period of taking it off and questioning it. I said almost the exact same things. So, please sweet sister, don't think for a second that I think badly of you. I know you are just trying to please the Lord.

  • what do you think about women cutting there hair?

  • @radicallyforjesus I honestly believe the reason is that it reminds him of a Muslim. How do I get him over that and to realize that they cover differently.

  • thank you for your insights I have been struggling wiht my veiling and with my hubby and such

  • @TheVeiledCatholic , your welcome, I know I LOVE LOVE LOVE Katie's mercantile. The prices are pretty reasonable, they are really nice and the orders are shipped with great timing, I have ordered skirts, aprons, and dresses from there :D

    love of Christ, Jessica +++

  • @jessica22481 ... that is awesome Jessica... wow this website is nice ... thank you for sharing it with us all... Peace

  • @TheVeiledCatholic , i used to do full veil also, and then switched to more plain type cloths. Not totally plain, I usually wear a long skirt with a shirt, but do have a couple of dresses. I veil at church, my husband interpreted for me that to veil at church is most important, he prefers me not to veil outside of church except with long hair. You will look great, and I think you and your husband are very wise. I usually veil with a snood. Katie's mercantile online is great, since i cannot sew.
