Why do the bosses here look different in the Arcade version?

these 2 are the easiest boss in Crisis Zone. I didn't lost even one life in this stage in my first playthrough but lost to the tank in the Zone 1.

I love shooting those daggers being thrown at me, quite a challenge hehehe.
