Wonderful assistance. And the tone of your lute is simply marvelous. Would that be a Hieber-inspired instrument? It looks full in the belly and with the stripes and generally ample proportions (and resonance), I am wondering what style it is. Might you be able to tell us the name of the luthier who made so beautiful an instrument? Thank you. I am a beginner looking to buy my first instrument. Best wishes!

Thanks for this. The series has been interesting, but this one has been exceptionally helpful.
I obtained some Scottish Cittern tablature from BalcarresGuy, and this confirms my ideas on how the tablature is to be read. Now I can practice with a little more confidence.

We are very fortunate to have these videos, as you are very talented and also a good teacher.
I just bought a Cezar Mateus 8 course renaissance 8-course lute.
It should be here next week...I have no idea how to play it, but it will be very fun to learn.
