@Sandman8185 I'd like to see how the NHL would do money wise if it was based solely in Canada. I think most people would realize it's a necessity that the league has teams in the US based on money reasons alone.

@CurlyFriesForLife Dude the fact that over half the teams are in american markets dosn't mean shit if ALL the team"s are made up of canadian players and there coaching staff is also made up of mostly canadians.

yeah they won, I admit that they deserved it, but it's still our game.

This Tournament is almost bigger then real WC in Sweden so i think you have tiny bit wrong...

Why wouldn't I have an incentive to win? 1) you're representing your country whether it's the Olympics or a T-Ball tournament you have that incentive to win. 2) It's not mandatory to go if they cared more about a paycheck then they wouldn't go. 3) Once you are in a tournament why wouldn't you want to win? What incentive is there to lose? Again what the fans think is irrelvant Hockey players want to win hockey games.

If you were a payed professional hockey player at the age of 18 in Russia or Sweden, what incentive would you have to win this tournament that nobody in your homeland cares about or watches? Same story with Finland. Nobody cares outside of our continent.

I get what you're all saying about how much hockey matters to the players themselves but unfortunately it does come down to the fans. If you don't have fans cheering you on you don't have as much to put into the game, it's just a fact that most athletes have to face. Hockey is considered Canada's game because not only do we have the amazing players but we also have the fans going to great lengths to cheer them on. It also comes down to other countries just not caring about their teams. It's sad.
