i agree with PommeFrite, but do not write off tinned sardines. They are delicious and economical to eat.

thanks for the vid . what do you think of canned sardines in olive oil are these that much better i must try now thanks for showing me how!

I'm afraid that canned sardines are not good for cooking like this. If you cannot find fresh sardines, mackerel may be used instead. For mackerel, maybe less garlic.

Thank you very much for trying. I'm very honored. I'm sure you might be able to get better quality sardines there, wherever in England, than in New York.
I will try to make a video of another sardine dish which can be for non-sardine eaters.
