Speed up Windows Vista by;
-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk
do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Get Ccleaner! And use your Aero theme... :-)

How to make windows vista 300% faster first of all format your hard drive then get a genuine copy of windows xp pro and do a fresh install once installed and up and running you will notice the huge difference in speed ease of use etc etc no bleeding windows popping up every 2 minutes asking you if thats what you want to do and then it asks you again even if you say yes......load of rubbish would rather go back to windows millenium edition and the same goes for windows 7 sort it out microsoft...

You should change them in the services instead of configuration.

"windows vista" and "faster" is an oxymoron.

what about for when shutting down your laptop, restarting, or turning on it on, have vista and it takes freaking forever just to shut down, i know my laptop is only 2GB of memory and icant upgrade to anymore then that and the fact that its a dell, dells are piece of crap but its the best laptop i have for now so i am thankful i have it. any suggestions??
not too bad. but your behind the times with vista.
you listed a bunch of accessibility helpers, but you neglected to mention things to speed boot time (IE, system profiles, allow booting to have use of dual or quad core instead of single core), or defragmentation
or, disabling services most users wont use to free usable resources.
there are a plethora of things you could add
you could also add in a bit on registry cleansing, and how to use the system in a way that will make it faster for longer.

Another way to get to the System Configuration dialog is to go to Run and type in "MSCONFIG"
