It's Merzbow Jr! Seriously, liking this.

You getting some really cool sound out of it. I like the way you stuck those two things together. It's like briefcase for crazed businessman.

That is absolutley fantastic man. I also have to ask what the toy was, or did you incorporate additional circuitry from other stuff in the suitcase? seems to endless amounts of source material to work with... and you work it great dude, i gotta try build one of these!!
1) Pitch. I replaced the factory pot with a higher value one. Found when you broke a lead to the pot, it paused the sound until reconnected. I made it so you can telegraph the sound OR scratch the sound with the b.c.'s, wired in parallel.
2) Ringing. There is an odd ringing that occurs from one connection. It changes dependent on which key is pressed. I added momentary, toggle and b.c. controls.
3) Scrolling. This control scrolls through the sounds, and you get the tone you release on.

The toy is called the Music Gizmo, I couldn't think of a better name than that. What you see is about what it looked like, but just one half. I mounted it onto the marker case. The holes on the toy were buttons that randomized the tone, but they were all busted in. So, I took the leads from the broken buttons and attached them to the columns of screws (not the ones with washers underneath). I'll explain the controls I added in the next post.

I am proud of this, I think I found some good bends. I also think that my use of found parts was both economic and aesthetically tasteful. I've had plenty of benders I respect compliment me on this toy.
Oh, the internet, where you can insult peoples' work anonymously from countries away.
