http://www.ted.com Paddy Ashdown claims that we are living in a moment in history where power is changing in ways it never has before. In a spellbinding talk at TEDxBrussels he outlines the three major global shifts that he sees coming.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate

  • The message I hear between the lines in this video is again that government will take care of us, we don't need to do much except support our government's creation of more treaties that will overrule constitutional law and curtail individual freedoms. I strongly disagree and it makes me want to separate myself with mainstream society and politics even more than I already have, and set up my life to maximize my freedom as much as possible.

  • Agreed!

If sheeple can NOT hear what it is being said I wish them happy sleeping life!

  • deeply, deeply, deeply, fucked.

  • @ChocIced

90%, doubt it. Probably 80% native British.

  • @Gonzoidzz Britain is 90% white. Problem?

  • It's liberal savages and apologists for Islamic scum like Ashdown that have turned Britain into an ethnic ghetto.

  • He described the Anglo view of the global power shift. The others don't necessarily look at it the same way.

e.g. we all have sexual desires. The British might want to screw as many women as possible in a pub or club (that's what pubs and clubs are about right, a place to "meet"/"talk" to new people. The creation/use of pubs and clubs for such purposes reflects the British cultural value on relationship and sex). Other cultures might not share that same value. Just like global power shift.

  • The entire world is completely interdependent and obliging all countries to be integrally connected. In order to establish joint management of the world economy, we need to create a system of upbringing of an integral society that will teach an individual how to be organically and integrally connected with himself, society & nature. When large masses of people begin this process, this naturally will bring a change in the state of society, its structure, and in the interaction of all its parts.

  • An old man, trying to grasp and cope with the "new ways". We young people live them, not only understand them. I think, as soon as we get rid of theese old school guys from power, the better for our children.
