This clip explains why Hip-hop music in (music) simplest form cannot be used to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Although we are addressing Hip-hop, the rule still apply to all Music, (gospel, rock, etc)

  • You don t need to bounce to sciptures you need to read them.

  • if the information in this video is true then how come so many lives have been impacted [in a good way] by listening to holy hip hop?

holy hiphop has brought me closer to christ than any other genre would or has

in secular hip hop, yes the rhythm is probably put first but in holy hip hop the lyrics are the most important thing to the artist. of course the beat is very important.. but obviously the artists have prayed for the lyrics to be heard in the song..

    so.. yeah

    :]

  • I love how this ministry actually KWOWS what they're talking about from extensive research. Would love to work with this ministry

  • Plain and simple, come out from among them. Touch not the unclean thing. Rap didn't originate from God, therefore, it cannot be used to further God's kingdom.

  • Who is this guy? He's great!

  • If Holy Hip Hop Is so "wack" are you guys spending so much time talking about it?

  • What can you expect of the music industry nowadays? It's so money-focused than talent focused. How many untalented artists became so popular despite the fact they can't sing well or dance well.

  • Awesome video!!! I have some stuff on Lecrae and will post on Reach Records soon.

  • It's not effective in the church and presenting the gospel, but secular music can cause people to fight, murder, fornicate in public etc.

  • So I wonder how he feels about "shouting music" because it is definitely dominated by drums/beats/rhythm and it definitely is repetitious???

  • Even if a song does have a funky beat if you listen to the lyrics within the song.. You kan still hear the word of GOD being portraied. I mean some Christian artists are very clever, They put a nice funky beat on there to entertain fleshy thinking humans into listening to the musik because it attracks them, But also in the hope that they are getting the lyrics stook in there head and then repeating them and something CLICKS in there mind. GOD Bless. But this video does put out a very good point

  • @Primetime7 Amen. Bottom line is beats, guitars, and other instruments that are overbearing are made to appeal to the FLESH FIRST. End of story.
