I never did hear of a MiG-25 being developed that could sustain anything Mach 3+ for a prolonged period of time. The Russians use to fly them near NATO nations at that speed to impress, but would abruptly have to land for a engine change. F15's a powerful aircraft, however the F22 is vastly superior. Super Cruise = longer legs, superior weapons system, better maneuverability, easier to fly. Of course I've never flown any of them, just regurgitating what I've read like everyone else on here.
@deltaxr19 The MiG-25 can maintain an F-15's top speed without burning out its engines... it was sustained flight in excess of Mach 3 that did that, and only in the early interceptor variants. Mikoyan-Gurevich managed to correct thermodynamic flaws the engine alloys prior to the production of the interceptor/reconnaissance versions in service now, the need for "sustained" speed in the reconnaissance versions being the driving force (not such a liability in short-burst interceptors).
@ES350ES350 yeah but every time they would go that fast the engines would be fried and unusable after wards. sooo if i planed on flying twice id once again take the f-15
@serratealldemoncrats for one, the f-15s are the only american plane with a perfect battle record. second, i would take an f-15 over an f-22 any day solely because the f-15 will outrun any other fighter plane ever created. note i said FIGHTER plane.

@deltaxr19
Speed-wise, the Mig-25, NATO codename Foxbat, can outrun F-15 easily.
F-15 Mach 2.5.
Mig-25 fighter version Mach 2.8
Mig-25 recon version Mach 3.2

@serratealldemoncrats Putting stupid comments and adding a happy face doesn't make you agreeable. It just makes you look like a clown.
