@thegiftedmedia R u kidding me? We already saw what Alexander was made of against Mathysse and Katsidis. I liked the kid but most of the time he fights on home turf and gets split decisions and I am fucking tired of Don King and the corrupt way he conducts his fight. Zab Judah did it against Cory Spinks in St.Louis and Maidana would have to do the same KO Alexander! Go MAIDANA
@thegiftedmedia but without question Rios belongs in the p4p race of the fighters you described. Alexander should skate and I mean pirouette with the win. I think Lamont is the good fight cause he knows how to press, will make alexander with his technical prowess, inside work and aggression act as though he NEEDS to get points to win, urgency so he can urgently give us a good fight.
@thegiftedmedia I am downplaying Alexander, no actually Im not because that would require he be lowered from an exalted position, he is nothing truly special. More of a runner than a tactician. Your framing of them being 4 horseman is a wonderful endorsement of HBO and nothing more, certainly not the actual circumstances in the lw division. The reigning king was and is JMM and Guerrero would have to be the 5th horseman.. as far as Rios goes Acosta is a nobody? He also thrashed Anthony Peterson
@JohnHurricaneBlaze Oh, and about Rios. He really needs to move up and face all these guys. He hasn't had one genuine test so far in his career. Now a fight against Khan, Bradley, Maidana, Alexander, Peterson would change that. The competition isn't enough in his weight division and he's basically being a pussy for staying there when he already weighed in more than the catchweight last time.
@JohnHurricaneBlaze Are you downplaying Alexander? He's one of the original big four in that weight division, Bradley, Khan, and Maidana being the other three. While yes, Bradley vs Maidana would have been a better match hadn't Maidana been injured, this isn't bad either. We finally get to know if Alexander's the real deal with the impressive record he has. And personally, I always love watching Maidana who I think is one of the most underrated fighters out there.
