Highlights of the Detroit Seminoles at Kings Comets Mid-Continental Football League semifinal playoff game played October 9, 2010 at Edgewood High School in Trenton, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati. The third-seeded Seminoles upset the second-seeded Comets, 22-20, ending Kings bid at back-to-back MCFL Championships. The Comets recovered a fumble at midfield with 2:47 remaining in the game, but fumbled themselves inside the Detroit 25 with 51 seconds remaining, denying Kings a chance at a game-winning field goal. Detroit held the MCFL's top-ranked passing game to 46 passing yards, including four sacks for 38 yards, but the Comets ran 38 times for 176 yards. Will White led the running game with nine carries for 58 yards, followed by 14 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown for Keith Brooks, and nine carries for 36 yards by Rodney Stone. Three-time MCFL MVP Robert Hunt led the Seminoles by completing 16 of 25 passes for 223 yards and rushing for a touchdown. TiRon Jones intercepted one pass for Kings and had one of the Comets four fumble recoveries. The Seminoles advanced to play the Columbus Fire in the MCFL Championship Game.
