My trainer says not to lift your heels off the ground when you punch because it loses power. so which is it?

eh, at first i though bruce lee was a beast...then i learned more about fighting and i thought it was impractical....not only until i understood the meaning of the fighting style did i see it's potential....people think there is no power in speed....a bullet can be 1/10 the weight of a pound by it's velocity will do damage....there is an equation...speed x weight - friction equals power... intercepting joints, arms, armpits...striking the opponent right after they strike is the key to winning.

Thanks for the tips, this feels much more comfortable, especially with sparring because i don't feel so exposed on the cross.

@mesorio12 why? this is mma?Bruce lee's jkd was the first of mma.the ones who are repping bruce are the ones who understand.i actually train in bjj, muay thai, western boxing and wrestling.i will tell you, my gym hired a jkd guy,i thought it was a joke at first and thought it was impractical,but he had his way with me and made me feel very helpless at times grappling and im a blue belt bjj.not only did i begin learning a new art,but my other arts improved times ten,bruce was a genius,period.
