The earliest surviving Alamo film, produced in 1915 by American film pioneer D.W. Griffith, Martyrs of the Alamo is truly a rare cinematic treat.

Telling the tale of the courageous Texan stand against oppression and tyranny, with its impressive sets, wonderful battle scenes, and expressive performances, Martyrs surpasses the expectations implied by the words "epic filmmaking."

Witness the birth of Texas and get the true meaning to the immortal words, "Remember the Alamo," with this rare and thrilling cinematic treasure. (1915 • 72 Min. • B/W)

  • I don´t say "americans" because America is a whole continent. All México hated Santa Anna, but the people in the Alamo and the rebels leaders was from US and I don´t see any country named Texas, because it is a part of US...

  • @Raspu2 they were not americans, they were texan 1824 constitutionalists, who hated the dictator Santa Anna, and they included many mexican born gentlemen. get your history right.

  • Jeje, historical unexactly, Santana arrive to San Antonio from México city after the US people take the alamo.
