The Sad Song di Bra (live cluster performance)

This is another version of my song The Sad Song. It is a live recording this time with no corrections, as part of my project to create "cluster performances" for as many of my songs as I can.

The performance was created in Bra, Italy, as part of the Corto in Bra festival, which remains one of my fondest memories. It was created in an octagonal structure called La Zizzola, which at the time had no electricity, so I only had 2 hours to get in will fully charged laptop and collect all of the voices.

The final version of this circular video can be played with on my interactive website. There you will be able to click different panels and the video will turn so you can watch that performance.

It was probably intended, but the whole experience is so religious.

The vocals remind me of a closing hymn and the floral pattern in the video goes really with the music. It looks like a massive stain glass window.

The thing is a masterpiece.

I could've sworn I'd already commented on this video but it doesn't seem to be here so I'll say it again.

This is a wonderful version of what is already a beautiful song, as a Photographer the imagery of the original video was what captured me as much as the song. In this version the harmonics of the building so wonderfully enhance the song to take it to another level, the video is again simple but clever and I can only wonder why this has had less than 250 views. :o/

This song is both beautiful and haunting and has been part of my life since I discovered it- we are talking a couple of years now. At present im going through a tough time so usually listen to it either in this form or its original at least once a day- it is comforting to me.
