  • @SJB666 , we use the 16' metal cattle panels bent over in an arch. We can stand under them & pick tomatoes, pole beans, etc. We've used them for years. The plants grow up and over the top. We use baling twine to tie the vines to the panel as they grow. The pole beans we train to grow in & out of the holes. Our cucumbers & muskadine grapes grow on these, too - & climbing roses.

  • what do you do if your cherry tomato plants get to 9 feet tall? Mine are 9 feet and I'm struggling to stop the tops being broken off by strong winds. I'm gonna have to try something different next season. Thanks for the tips anyway... happy gardening.

  • Very informative. Thank you!
