A heart-rending tearjerker of a song, and a great melody. I found it quite hard to play a jazz improvisation of it as you can hear, but the melody is strong, so what I did was just embellish it a little and try to make it as emotional as I could. You can hear my backing track elsewhere on this BOPPPPER channel.

  • I love this one, probably the easiest for me to play........excluding of course "Mary Had A Little Lamb" .... lol

  • beautiful! thanks!

  • great performance again - thanks- enjoy listening to it

  • I can never hear this song without recalling the sultry Julie London vocal with just guitar and bass that was a big pop hit in the 50s. Julie left her imprint forever on those who heard her sing Cry Me A River ,she also did a great version of Black Coffee as did Peggy lee. That was quite the era for sultry singers and sultry songs. Jeri Southern,June Christy,Chris Connor,Peggy Lee all sultry vixens in those days. Glad you picked this song you do it justice,me I prefer the tenor sax chorus .

  • merci bopppper trés agréable a écouter
