how did you make the red brick retaining wall at the end

I used 3/4-inch MDF board and cut grooves into it using a cutting disk on a Dremel tool. Lots of grooves!

I'd recommend it highly. You'll need the space for it and about $1,500 to buy the 5-car Lionel set. It's the most sophisticated and technologically advanced model train ever made.
