10 year-old Chinese piano virtuoso in Chengdu

As an English tutor in Chengdu, PRC, I have had the opportunity to meet a large number of very bright and talented youngsters. Although a young, exceptionally talented pianist is not rare in China, it was still a thrill to be able to listen to Xie Jing Fei (aka Lily) play these three very complicated compositions. Lily is only 10 years old, but she began piano lessons at the tender age of four. I feel very humbled and honored to have met Lily and to have had the chance to watch and listen to her play. She obviously enjoys the piano very much and I wish her much success.

Yes, she is quite impressive....I think the future of music lyes in the hands of Chinese, Japanese and South Korean youngsters. Western Countries are far behind now....Do you have other videos like that one. I am looking for young talents, as a member of the AADGT?

So since she is 10 at the time this video was taken, she has been taking lesson for 6 years, correct?

I like young Lily's playing and don't want to take anything away from her, but any child who seriously practices for 6 years can attain this level.
