Welcome to Talking Science
http://www.reallyusefulstuff.org/TalkingScience.html

Talking Science lessons are, where appropriate, set in "real-life" contexts.
Lessons are designed to be used in many ways to help students learn.
They can be used for class teaching but really become most valuable when used by individuals or small groups.
Students using the resource can pause or repeat sections they need to take more time over.
Each lesson has learning activities to address aspects of How Science Works and key concepts from the science curriculum.
Talking Science will support teachers with ideas to enhance their range of investigative "hands-on" practical work.
Assessing progress in learning
Talking Science puts the student in charge of their own learning; they proceed at a pace they feel comfortable with.
At the end of each lesson students can attempt the on-screen assessment. They then compare their responses to the accepted answers in order to assess their own progress.
This development will cut your photocopying costs!
Why use Talking Science?
Lessons are carefully designed to give relevance and rigour to key concepts from the science curriculum as well as being intuitive to use.
The stimulating and engaging learning scenarios will capture the interest and enthuse students at all ability levels.
Provides ideal support for non-specialists, teaching assistants and meaningful "cover work"
You will see engaged students, working independently on quite challenging content.
Lesson support materials include:
The dialogue or script for the lesson
Lesson assessment with accepted answers in slideshow format
Plenty of suggestions to explore the lessons in more depth and try more practical work
