Spinothalamic Tract Song

Verse 1:
Spi-inothalamic Tract
It makes sure we stay intact
Temp and pain are part of the game
And Tracts of Lissauer will transmit the same
Thermo- and mechano- start the tract
They are sure to watch our back

Verse 2:
First order neuron passes in
The Dorsal Root Ganglion
If it doesn't join with Lissauer
Then it wont take a detour
It'll synapse right away, be warned
On the Ipsilateral dorsal horn

Verse 3:
Second order neuron decussates
Contralateral ventral horn, it can't wait
To the anterolateral white matter it goes
All the way up, almost to your nose
Then it ends in the Thalamus
VPL, Intralaminar Nucleus

Verse 4:
Third order neuron, Thalamus
Through the Internal Capsule it is whisked
Then it synapses on the brain
Postcentral gyrus finds its fame
Primary Somatosensory Cortex
Final destination of this mess!

LOL ...I just memorized it and drew it over and over 5 times for my USMLE boards. But this song works. ..I find the video funny bcos it is way easier to draw it out than memorize the song..but both combinations will help for sure ..Great Job to whoever the girl is singing...
