  • There's no reason to be embarrassed by this :) I love how enthusiastic you are.

  • @cameradiva12 I think embarrassed was the wrong word. Just shy. but thank you! :)

  • Just discovered your channel! I'm gonna go watch a bunch of your videos now :P

  • Oh, and the only thing that would have made this meal better...corn on the cob, ON THE GRILL. While still on the cob, remove as much of the silk as you can, cover with butter, salt, pepper, roll the husks back up & wrap in foil....OMG, melts. in. your. mouth. :) And just a question about checking done-ness of grilling meat without cutting into it or using a thermometer...I like mine medium...I don't like cooking the MOO out of my steaks! So, how long for medium?

  • Gretchen, I love your videos. You're just a positive FORCE & I like the simplicity idea. Don't be overly modest with what you love to do (making your cooking videos!)...they're definitely something to be proud of! :) I will admit something though...I absolutely LOVE using Kroger brand Hawaiian marinade on grilled steaks & chicken. Easy but definitely not healthy. lol But one of these days, I'll definitely have to try your minimalist method! Yum yum!

  • @nyazgirl Yes I know what you mean lol. I just started making videos on a collab channel, it's my first time for making videos and putting them on youtube, and I get shy about it too. But, I told all my friends and mom already and they think it's really cool and they keep giving me video ideas and wanting to be in them too xD

  • I am SO excited to see your organic cattle farm tour! I would like to know if the government makes it more difficult for a small farmer to, not just compete, but to function against the corporate farms. Have they put very tight restrictions on the small farms that makes it more difficult to produce good/high yields?

I hope the answer to that is no, but I'm betting it's a yes. :(

Love this episode. I'm going to be baking my next batch of potatoes! Yea!

  • I remember you drying the meat on another video, and I did that when I made short ribs the other day and they turned out SO well, so THANK YOU!

  • When I make steaks or chicken breasts on the grill, I do my taters on there, too. I chunk up washed potatoes and put them in a big zip loc baggy then add a bit of olive oil and a some spices. Zip up the bag and shake it around then pour onto a sheet of foil big enough to close over the taters. My grill has a shelf on it so I put it on that and they are so darn tasty! Sometimes, I'll add chunks of onions and carrots, too.

Would you ask the farmer to explain the different cuts of beef, please?

  • This will be a great episode coming up! That steak was soo yummy looking! It made me miss summer here in Milwaukee! Way too cold for the outside grill :) My question would be what can I do (as a SUPER broke college student) to buy ethical, grass fed meats on a budget?
