@ACX352395 ur in the minority. More young folk DONT know about history than DO (not just social studies and world history, but pop culture, humanities etc). Certain cultural subjects from the relative past (Beatles, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Mona Lisa, Picasso) are sort of ensconced in our collective conscious. By a certain age, say 16, one should know about or at least possess a vague familiarity w these things. Yes, parents are part of it, as stated in my first post. Self discovery is another.

Technology, video games, tv isn't the problem. The parents are because they are the one's that should monitor there children. So really its the parents fault if there kids turns out to be stupid.
I'm 16 and I love history more then anything else. I have bought all the beatles albums and a big fan.
