It is easier to use an ordinary house broom to clear a vehicle of this kind of snow. It would have taken less than a minute to clear the entire car. Keep one in your trunk.
Also, for an icey windshield, start the car & let the defrost run for a while until the ice is loosened but ALWAYS make sure that the cars exhaust pipe is cleared of snow first.
Scraping snow off your car can damage the paint. If you own a garage, empty out the junk & use it.
that's nothing, we had 3 ft on top of my car this winter and 5 ft snow drifts on the side of my car
