Osgood-Schlatters is a condition that often times shows up in young people who are growing very quickly. The point of pain is typically on the tibial tuberosity, or the bump just below the knee. This pain is caused by the patella tendon, the tendon that runs from the knee cap to the tibial tuberosity, starting to separate or pull away from the tibial tuberosity. This creates inflammation in the area and results in varying degrees of pain. With age this condition will typically go away. But, during the years of rapid growth, KT Tape can help relieve the symptoms as well as speed recovery.
I had left knee retiniculum repair surgery a little over 3 months ago & was healing great until 3 weeks ago when I went back to work. Now I'm having new issues which honestly sound like this description but with a sharp stabbing pain at times. Only thing is is that I'm 23 & even tho I've grown a little under an inch since surgery idk if this is what I have? My PT is at a loss and I see the Dr soon-ish. Any ideas what taping method is best till then?!
