The complete original soundtrack to Dario Argento's Four Flies On Grey Velvet (1971).

Tracks, English translation & length:
#1 Titoli (Titles) (3:19)
#2 Come Un Madrigale (Like A Madrigal) (3:41)

Track 1 is the opening song which Roberto Tobias and his band play as the credits roll. Track 2 first plays when Roberto returns home from the theater after being framed for murder and later in the wonderful ending sequence.

Four Flies On Grey Velvet is the last addition to the Animal Trilogy, preceded by The Bird With The Crystal Plumage and The Cat O' Nine Tails. Like in the previous films, the soundtrack was composed by the legendary Ennio Morricone. His themes consist of lyric-free rock songs, peaceful choral melodies and suspenseful jazz.

  • ah...how did I know you would have this :) thanx a lot. This sort of stuff is pretty scarce in america...

  • The soundtrack has always been easier to get a hold of than the film. It's pretty cool to have something this rare on YouTube.

  • ohhh this soundtrack of Morricone is an orgasm for my ears, its amazing

  • It's fabulous! This is among my top 5 Morricone scores.

  • tipically seventies :):):) this sounds improvisation

  • Oh yeah, there's nothing more "early seventies" than Four Flies On Grey Velvet.

  • Funnily enough even though I've seen this movie twice (back in the 70s) I'd never have placed the first track with the film! But I can definitely place the second bit of music - a superb musical piece from Morricone. It's a shame this film hasn't been released on DVD yet. Hopefully Argento and Paramount can come to some arrangement about the rights.

  • Jälkimmäinen musiikki vaikutti omalaatuselta ja aika hienolta.

  • damn psychedelic !

  • WOW. This is ultra-rare! I mean, I've only seen the film once at an arthouse cinema in London years back and since its vanished into thin air!

  • Come Un Madrigale is so creepy....

  • In case you haven't heard yet, Four Flies on Grey Velvet was given a legit DVD release a couple of months ago. Definitely worth it if you haven't already picked it up.
