@tommoore2012 I agree with you there; you can have a bunch of the most expensive players in the world thrown together and call it a team, but unless the chemistry isn't there, you're not going to win. Pure and simple. A player being paid 15 million a year can still have a shit season and bat .200 and have a ground level slugging %. I've been a die hard Yankee fan for years (my whole family) but that doesn't mean I agree with every single move they make. We stick with them, WS or not.

@kkarls1 Annoying I agree, but also true pride for them. I follow the Texas Rangers and only the Rangers. I have way before they ever even came close to the WS. The difference between our pride and a lot of other teams', is that we believe money can't make someone a winner. In order to prove that you can have true pride, you have to rely on your own skills and strategies. You have to make it threw with guts and determination, not with a peice of green paper. Until then, you're not a true winner

ie; not as many Boston fans follow the Sox on the road as they did during the "prime" years of Damon, Millar, Manny, etc. And my point remains that there are bandwagoners everywhere, even in small numbers, and yes, even in Boston. I think that Boston and Yankee fans are by far the most hardcore. It made me laugh this past November to see Philly fans waving their towels and thinking they were intimidating because they won A world series in 2008. Please. Boston and NY intimidate. Phily? Nope.

I'm from Earth, and I'm not a kid, but thanks. Did you read my last comment, "Boston has near sellouts every home game" ?? Boston fans are hardcore, I never suggested that they weren't. All I was saying is that in 2004-2005 they were absolutely GUARANTEED a sellout every home game, bc of the World Series excitement (getting so close in 2003, winning in 2004, chance of repeat in 2005, etc.). Sure, they sell out every home game (small stadium), but road attendance has dropped off for Boston.
