Bryan Ferry most underrated songwriter of his generation.
-
jst absolutely lyrically outstanding!! He can go from talking about lusting for female goddess perfection to referencing Nietzsche (in the 'Zarathustra' line) to his own passion and desire for a simpler life........what else can i say but, 'Roxy I wouldn't change you for another girl.'

Great to see this. I saw Roxy in Oakland, Calif in 1979 and Ferry's voice was richer and deeper with a killer version of this song was the ultimate -- with a better ending. This show was broadcast on the radio and became an Italian bootleg called Song for Europe. Well-worth finding.

Anyway, possibly the best bass playing of anyone ever (who isn't Herbie Flowers. Possibly. Or maybe Bootsy)
-
Yeah. Ted Bundy. Who should have been unleashed on the cast, crew, writers and producers of that AWFUL show before they reached adulthood and a career.

knew about Roxy Music before HIMYM

@tmc515 Our cultural make over in the 60's(jeans long hair ,beads etc.was on the path to becoming a new "establishment-this Continental persona of Bryan's was counter-revolutionary and very astute move as far as promotion of the band as a whole goes. Can you imagine what the genius of the late Cobain could have done over time by going against grunge type casting ? He might still be here & I mean that w/ all due respect folks...
