my morning jacket is like a modern day version of the band, it makes sense for them to cover this song and i wouldn't be surprised if they took on some inspiration from the band when they were first starting out

I ADORE The Band, and also really like MMJ. But, I had some reservations about this one before hearing it. The original is an amazing classic, so....
I have to say I am VERY VERY pleasantly surprised - this is really BEAUTIFUL! Jim James' voice captures the soul and feel of the song very well, and the rest of band plays it to sheer perfection.
