David is one of more than 80 employees who has been made redundant from the 'Solar Systems' factory in Abbotsford, Melbourne. The closure of the company threatens the only large scale solar project planned for Victoria - a new power station at Mildura. This interview took place following a protest of more than 60 environmental activists and unionists on Friday 18 September, organised by the Climate Emergency Network, demanding the government step in to guarantee the project and reinstate the workers.
Yep, great video, indeed I think it raises good questions about who climate movement allies are, in fact, I think it is quite clear that solar companies such as these are on the receiving end of the insidious relationship between government and fossil fuels.

Top stuff. Good interview. Chicken feed to keep it running in the grand scheme of things. Massive stimulus for schools (which is great don't get me wrong, good to see long overdue refurbishment of schools) but seriously, to let a company like this go under when all that is needed is a few tens of millions to keep it going is just ridiculous.
