There's loads of oil in the Gulf of Mexico. You don't need to drill for it though. Just scoop it out of the water or grab a chunk of it from around the coastline. It's just floating around free for anyone. And that is the great service BP is doing for all good Americans - they're making oil freely available to anyone who wants it without the unnecessary expense of drilling. (I expect Fox "News" will be promoting this angle soon...).

In that clip they did not claim that there were not oil rigs there, but as guy who has gone to the gulf every year for nearly 16 years I can tell you there aren't any NEW rigs, and that's what they were talking about. NO NEW DRILLING.
