@jumahn - No, the mass market paperbacks won't be out for months, likely.  The publisher will want to maximize profit on the hardcover edition before they release a cheaper version. There MIGHT be trade paperbacks out there, but they're hard to find for popular books.

On the other hand, if you're just looking for a cheaper option, you can pick up a copy for an e-reader (Kindle, Nook, etc) for about $15. You can get free e-reader programs for your PC if you don't actually own a reader, too.

Great, great song. I met George at a science fiction convention in Seattle a long time ago when he was writing part of the Wild Cards series. Nice guy. More power to him. I agree that he needs to close the deal here and I hope he does. Go George!
