@jauvon13 Well, I don't blame them per say ... it just represents the epitome of the culture and society gone down the drain. I blame it for it's programming and pathetic nature of content but I blame parents and us as a population for watching the rubbish. So, please excuse any 'blamin' :)

@lonewulf44 You said it... but a revival is coming and everyday day is a day closer to the Jesus Christ's return! :)

@adamdicy yea as a kid watching reruns of this show, i thought it sucked, probably was alil over my head back then...this particular episode is really amazing!
when andy is in the woods seriously doubting opie, but still having faith in him, and the impossible "mr. mcbeevee" is suddenly possible..wow..pure magic..
the episode with buddy ebsen as the wise hobo is on this same level, how fantastic the last few minutes of that episode are as well..

@lonewulf44 yea, and your positive attitude is really helping it...why not have some kind of faith in mankind (sure the world is full of problems, but would you expect a place with 7 billion people on it to not have major problems/evil/ugliness?)
embrace similiarities you have with people, dont revel in your diffrences..

I used to hate this show....but after about several episodes then I began to love it. This episode is among a long list of my favorite episodes.

The best of times, a bygone era. Society is dead and gone now, we live in a currupt selfish MTV generation now.

I grew up in the 50's and 60's,and things were definitely different back then. It was safe (in non-urban areas) to leave your door unlocked at night, and everybody knew their neighbors. There were "bad" adults then, too, but not nearly as many.
