Hi! Congrats on your interest in the Gastric Sleeve procedure. It normally takes us around 2-3 weeks to book a surgery on a patient. Most insurance companies won't cover the sleeve so you may want to look into your policy specifically. Hope this helps.

I have my first appointment on Wednesday to start my journey for weight loss surgery. I am having trouble deciding though between the gastric sleeve procedure and the Roen-y gastric bypass. Any advise that you would like to share with me is appreciated.

Congratulations on your decision on having WLS! I would highly recommend a gastric sleeve. You will avoid having dumping syndrome, malabsorbtion, vitamin deficiency, etc. If you would like more information let us know and we can send it your way. Then with this info and your doctor's info you can make a decision.
with warm regards,
