Good action on the lure. But the color seems strange. Have you tried other colors ?

@userkc2008 I keep it simple out there. If I had to pick three colors, I'd go with rootbeer, red and white. I told my buddy that, and that's why he focused on those colors. He also had that cool blue/purple. The vid doesn't do that lure justice. It was a weird metalic blue sheen in the water. Then he added some serious fishy scent to it. That's why I was using gloves. :-)

@ArimaFishing I was a bit surprised by the color of the lure you have shown. the kelp in the 1/2 moon bay area are purple color. Picking a lure near that color did not seems right to me. I was puzzled.

@userkc2008 I've had a lot of success with rootbeer, red or white. But I honestly cannot say I've used purple. But it worked for him. I think those rockfish are pretty stupid and will hit anything that swims and smells like fish. :-)

like the old saying. if it's not broken don't fix it. stick with the colors you have success with. may be strange but its effective.
