1977 Boy Scout Troop 506 Colorado River Canoe Trip

One of the highlights of February is the Boy Scout Troop 506 Colorado River Canoe Trip. In 1977 it was the mid-February holiday weekend. I think it was Mr. Lubin's car that was overheating on the drive from San Diego to the Colorado River at Walter's Camp We had to stop a lot. There was a lot of waiting. Note at 0:46 some butt racing. It's what you do when you're bored. In this film we don't get on the water until 1:21, and it's only a 2:48 total! That's Imperial Dam (north of Yuma) at the end.

This is a pretty cool old video. Kinda funny to see all them scouts paddling down the river with no PFD's...... them were the days.
