The Manchester Evening News doesn't know it's ass from its elbow. Jarre played Oxygene 4 twice. First in a full version (although there was a synth problem), and then in a shorter encore version.
If you don't know your Equinoxes from your Oxygenes you shouldn't be reviewing it.
It was a STUNNING concert.

According to the Manchester evening news tonight he played Equinoxe 5 twice? I'm pretty sure I only heard it once, unless he played 2 completely different versions. Hopefully someone a bit more knowledgable about Jarre's music can help me there.

I really enjoyed it my friend brought me I am getting into some of the songs quite alot. Dont get the appeal of that song that he did twice though, it reminds me of the grabbers in blackpool where you get cuddley toys and everyone seemed to love that song.

lol. I remember hearing Oxygene coming out of grabbers at my local travelling fair as well. Hopefully he doesn't see that as the highlight of his career so far ;)

I think he must be immortal. I believe he's 60 now and for someone old enough to have a bus pass having that much energy and focus gives us all hope.

Yea, I think its one of the best things seeing him live is the remixes and variations. Pleasantly surprised he played it twice though.
