50 Gallon Breeder Aquarium, Arroyo Negro **Update 02-28-2012**

This is my most recent update. Tank is starting to take shape. Swords in the back are growing in BIG. Especially the bleheri- nice broad green leaves. I re-positioned the driftwood, moving the larger center piece into the back right corner and the smaller piece to the left. This divided the tank more into thirds. I plan on adding some rocks into the middle within the next couple of months.

I mounted the lights to the ceiling, which has helped immensely with algae growth and increased plant growth. I think the distance allows the plants to more efficiently use T5HO lighting. The plants also grow more upright. The distance has also helped the Frogbit- it appears more healthy and is growing new pads at a stable rate. The fish also seem to be more active during the intense lighting periods.
Below deck, the tank is still a mess. I need to secure the reactor and CO2 tank to the sides and reorganize the cables and tubes. I'll add a second power strip, mounting both and the controller to the support beam.
